My Running targets
I live about 1 mile from an old water filled quarry, which has been filled with water, creating a lake. There is a path all the way round it, which I have been told is 1 mile in length.
As part of my new Triathlon training scheme, last Sunday (27th September), I walked the mile down to the 'lake', and and jogged round it once. This was a total distance of three miles, once I had walked back home.
On Tuesday 29th I did the same, but increased my distance round the 'Lake' to 2 times round. This totaled 4 Miles.
Today, Thursday 1st October I increased it to three times round the lake, therefore 5 miles in total.
My target is to jog this course every two days, increasing the laps round the lake by 1 every time, until I have reached 26 laps, or 26 Miles (28 including getting there and back).
Once the 26 laps in one day target has been achieved, I will go back to doing 1 lap of the lake, but time myself. I will time myself for every distance up to, and including 26 laps of the lake.
Then I will go back to one lap again, and time myself, whilst improving my time...and so on.
This way I build up my fitness gradually.
Tuesday 6th October - 6 miles run achieved. - walked 1 mile + ran 4 times round the lake (4 miles) + 1 mile walk/jog back equals a total of six miles today. What an achievement !
I am feeling great, and being the best I can be.
