Guest house at the foot of the Rodopi Mountains
I have just come accross a guest house located near Plovdiv at the foot of the Rodopi Mountains. Although I have not visited the http://www.thenorthplacebulgaria.com/index.html yet I do know the area to the south of the second city plovdiv very well.
For those of you interested in exploring the Rodopi mountains area which lie to the south of Plovdiv you could of course hire a car, though this is not really in the spirit of this site. After all it is a bulgarian adventure holiday site.
In love with Bulgaria since 2004
It occurred to me today that I have been obsessed with Bulgaria for six years now. It all started at my cousins wedding in London, when he happened to mention that a lot of his 'city friends' were investing there bonuses in the Bulgarian Black Sea coastal resorts, and also the Ski resorts.
This knowledge impressed me, after all if city bankers were investing, they are the people who are the experts :)
After about six months of slightly obsessional internet research I booked a ticket for 5th January 2005 from Gatwick to Sofia on Bulgaria Air.
Camping sites wanted
If you have land in a picturesque location that could potentially be used as a campsite then we would like to hear from you. We may be interested in renting land for our commercial camping activities. If interested give us an email.
My Running targets
I live about 1 mile from an old water filled quarry, which has been filled with water, creating a lake. There is a path all the way round it, which I have been told is 1 mile in length.
As part of my new Triathlon training scheme, last Sunday (27th September), I walked the mile down to the 'lake', and and jogged round it once. This was a total distance of three miles, once I had walked back home.
On Tuesday 29th I did the same, but increased my distance round the 'Lake' to 2 times round. This totaled 4 Miles.
Lincolnshire Odd Jobs
Dear Lincolnshire Householder,
My name is Craig Miles, and I would like to help you with those unwanted jobs around the house, such as changing tap washers, assembling flat pack furniture and Painting walls.
I charge £10 hr (excluding travelling), or £60 per day (8 hours).
You can be reassured that I have been Enhanced CRB Checked, which is available to view.
I was out of work, and prefered to be useful, rather than signing on, hence my competitive prices.

The Mongol Rally
I have come across the site of the adventurists, who organise mad adventures and races in the far flung parts of the world.
Check it out.
Coupe Icare
I have just come across the web site of the Coupr Icare 2009 in St Hilaire du Touvet in France, between September 17th - 20th 2009.
The festival is apparently devoted to poweless flight, and as I am currently increasingly obsessed with the idea of paragliding, I plan to attend.
Flying to Bourgas on 4th July 2009
In two days time I am flying out to Bourgas from Gatwick, Uk at 0255 in the morning.
I have managed to get a last minute flight for £109, which is pretty good for a return ticket in July I think.
I intend to keep this blog updated with my travels as I go along. Will probably chill out at the new hostel in Bourgas (the only proper one that I have heard of), for the weekend before heading for Veliko Tarnovo or the Rodopi Mountains by coach.
It's great to be travelling again. :-)
